The East Coast Collective is a collaboration between two entrepreneurial businesswomen, who believe in challenging the norm and creating space for big ideas. In 2015 both entrepreneurs invested in their own development by travelling overseas. Christina, a creativity and innovation expert, headed to Boston for the Front End Innovation Conference where she met with speakers Seth Godin (Marketing Guru) and Tom Kelley (IDEO). Heidi Alexandra, a disruptor in company culture and leadership, attended a Virgin Unite Leadership Gathering on Necker Island with Sir Richard Branson (The Virgin Group).

This year they are both headed to Las Vegas to speak at the People Synergy Purpose Conference, just before hitting the Gold Coast. Three guest entrepreneurs are also coming to share their stories with you, warts and all. Frankly and fearlessly they will talk about their business adventures - from the moment they were inspired by the idea that set their life paths on a journey of determination, resilience, passion and never ending LESSONS.

Jennifer Holland is the founder of Throat Scope. She has disrupted medical suppliers with her innovative device that was born through the pain of watching her child suffer at the doctors. She sold her house, took out $150,000 in patents and has been running forward ever since. Things took off after her appearance on Series 1 of Shark Tank and the company recently secured a distribution with Woolworths and in Canada with Paris Labs.

Gary Bertwistle is the calm, sage, guru from Mojo Radio. He’s an author, a speaker and he’s obsessed with inspiring businesses and individuals to be better...

Melissa Edyvean, co-founder of Bondi Chai, fell in love with chai latte in New York City and the rest is history. With no experience in the food industry but a solid belief this product would take off in Australia, Melissa and her partner, Martin, disrupted the hot beverage market by importing chai into Australia.

Following a brief interval, we will then give three local entrepreneurs the opportunity to pitch their innovative idea to our presenters and receive invaluable feedback. An incentive prize of a $250 account from the Greater Building Society will be awarded by our panel to the presenter ready to proceed to the next level of business development.

Entrepreneurs wanting to apply for your chance to pitch to these seasoned entrepreneurs, send us a 90 second YouTube clip telling us why you want to have 3 minutes of our panel’s attention.
